Less and more of Strategy
The art of strategy has never been more and less important at the same time. Less important, because everything is spinning about and our only rescue is to become as flexible as possible in real time to new demands, changing environment, innovation and market quirks. More important, because spinning times call for a shared visual picture of future options and what to focus here and now. A picture that is your real time and long-term strategy at the same time. A picture that has to be constantly updated and re-shared. We clearly see that management, at all levels, needs to set much more time aside for the strategic dimension, a dimension that has widened in all directions. And remember, your (future) strategy happens right now among your dedicated co-workers out there, in real time.
